Evans are wonderful lighters with many unique designs.
We finally found an Evans reference guide for
providing some sort of standard names for these lighters. The
guide is The Evans Book by Larry Clayton. The book covers
The Evans Case Company's lighters, compacts, perfumers and handbags
and several vintage advertisement pages. The primary focus of the
book is lighters and includes a price guide. The book isn't
a complete guide to Evans lighters, as Evans made far more lighters
than Larry could have featured, but the book is a great piece to help
collectors establish an approximate time-line and price for their
pieces. The ISBN is 0764306413.
Thanks to one of our surfers, Paula, for this information.
